In-Person Play Therapy in Pasadena
Children heal through the language of play.
Iām a Registered Play Therapist and use Child Centered Play Therapy to help children process their experiences and emotions through play. You may think - well, they already play at home and at school. What is the difference? As an experienced play therapist I am trained in encouraging your child to lead in play and relating to them in a way that helps them understand and process their feelings and life experiences and reach their own solutions. I have carefully selected toys and sensory items to ensure your child stays in their zone of tolerance and feels safe and integrated during therapy.
Presenting issues I work with:
Adoption/foster care related trauma
Birth and early developmental trauma
Grief and Loss
Medical trauma
Abuse and Neglect
Emotional/Behavioral Disregulation
Anxiety and Depression
Fears and Phobias
Dissociation
Suicidal Ideation
